White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi plan to meet in Oslo, Norway, to restart nuclear talks between the two countries, according to sources said to be familiar with the discussions.
The White House and the Iranian government have not confirmed the meeting or set a final date for when it could happen, but if the meeting does take place, it would be the first time the sides have met in person since President Donald Trump ordered a military strike on three key nuclear facilities in Iran in June, reported Axios.
A White House official commented that there are “no travel announcements” to be made at this time, and the Iranian mission to the United Nations declined to comment on the report.
