Rep. Greene Could Trigger Motion to Vacate on Monday

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., could trigger her motion to vacate the House speakership on Monday, a source told Newsmax Senior Congressional Correspondent Kilmeny Duchardt.

Before filing a motion, Greene will meet with Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., at 3:30 p.m. ET Monday, Duchardt added.

Greene on Wednesday said she would trigger her motion this week to remove Johnson from the speakership. In late March, she formally filed a motion to remove the speaker due to his support of the $1.2 trillion spending bill.
