As President Donald Trump urges Iran’s “unconditional surrender” amid Israel’s campaign to wipe out its nuclear weapons aspirations, the USS Ford carrier strike group will be positioned strategically in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea near to Israel.

The proximity will allow the previous planned asset allocation to aid security both in the Middle East and Europe amid Russia’s war on Ukraine.

“The USS Ford Carrier strike group is expected to be deployed to Europe next week, near to the Middle East, putting a third aircraft carrier in close proximity to the conflict between Israel & Iran, sources tell @NatashaBertrand, me & @halbritz,” a CNN reporter posted to X.
